Young Adults

Whether you have Tinder or a ten year old, a solidified set of beliefs or a million questions,  we welcome you to our community of faith!

The PHPC Young Adult crew is a vibrant, diverse group of young adults, who study, serve and fellowship together. This ministry is new, thus we invite you to join us in this new and exciting work of community, growth, and learning, as we listen to the Spirit at work in our lives! No matter where you come from or how you got here, there is space for you, and we hope you will join us.

As a community of faith, we believe that we belong to one another.
We believe that face-to-face connection makes our world better.
We believe that God is active in this broken and messy world.
We believe that hope is contagious, and joy is necessary.
We believe in learning, and the power it holds.
We believe that all are welcome at God’s table.
And we believe this community of young adults matters- for us and for others.

To learn more about our group, contact Sarah Are, our Designated Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Adults, sign up for our young adult newsletter, or join our Facebook group! We would love to have you!

One thing we know to be true about young adults: we tend to be a transient group. SO, in celebration of this place we call home, we're going to spend the summer enjoying the best that Dallas has to offer! Save the date for these gatherings and join us when you can!

Katy Trail Ice House // Friday, May 17th, 7:30 pm
Come hang out at the famous Katy Trail ice house for a few hours of fellowship! The church will provide appetizers. Dogs and friends are welcome!

Ranger's Baseball Game // Thursday, June 6th, 7 pm
What says summer more than a baseball game? Come hang out, and grab a hot dog or beer with your friends. The church will be buying a group of tickets, first come first serve! For a shot at a ticket, RSVP below!

Sam Burchfield Concert // Friday, June 7th, 7 pm
Come kick off summer with a free concert in Founders Hall! Sam is a dear friend of the Light-Wells and I, and is talented beyond belief. Our very own Paul Demer from the Worship@5 band will be opening, and we'll be serving Gelato from a local Gelato truck throughout the show. Admission is free, so save the date!

Playdate in the Park // Saturday, June 15th, 9:30-10:30
For our young adults with little ones, you're invited to a playdate with the Ruffners at Coffee Park!

Lunch at Boston Farms // Saturday, June 29th, 11:30 am

Bonton Farms is an urban farm in south Dallas, working to end the cycle of community poverty through innovate farming and delicious food. Bonton just opened up a beautiful farm to table cafe in November, so we're going to support their efforts by grabbing lunch there!

Four Day Weekend Improv Show // Saturday, July 13th, 7:30 pm
Lower Greenville has a new improve show called Four Day Weekend. Performances are located in a refurbished building beside Truck Yard, off of Greenville Ave. The church will be buying a group of tickets, to provide a 50% discount. To save your spot and sign up for a discounted ticket, RSVP below!

Cyclebar Ride // Sunday, July 21st, 2 pm
Come get your heart rate up & burn a little energy with a community spin class! Sign-ups are forthcoming.

La La Land Kind Cafe // Tuesday August 15th, 7:30 pm
La La Land Kind Cafe is Dallas' most recent do-good cafe. La La Land just opened this spring and hires youth who are aging out of the Foster Care system. Come support this do-good spot by purchasing a latte and hanging out on the front porch!
